How video to GIF works
The browser seeks through the selected clip, draws each sampled frame to Canvas, and sends those pixels to a local GIF encoder. Audio is not included because GIF does not support sound.
Keep the output manageable
Short duration, smaller width, fewer frames per second, and fewer colors create much lighter GIFs. A video file can become larger after conversion because GIF is less efficient than modern video formats.
