Confirm the destination supports WebP
Modern browsers display WebP, but older desktop workflows or third-party upload systems may expect JPG or PNG. Decide based on where the finished files will be used.
Set quality using a difficult sample
Choose a photo containing fine textures, a face, and smooth color. Start near 80% quality and compare the output. Apply the approved setting to the batch rather than guessing differently for every file.
Review transparency and names
WebP can retain transparency when the processing path supports it. Inspect cutout edges and transparent backgrounds after export. Keep meaningful base filenames, extract the ZIP into a separate folder, and preserve the source images.
